Théophile Nsengimana is currently a Lecturer of Biology at the University of Rwanda-College of Education. In 2013, he obtained his Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics and Science Teacher Education from Naruto University of Education, Tokushima, Japan. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from the University of Rwanda, where he is currently pursuing his PhD at the College of Education and exploring the implementation of competence-based curriculums and schools’ capacity to innovate. His research interests revolve around science curriculum implementation, and STEM teacher education.
Nsengimana is an associate member as well as a researcher of the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) at the College of Education, University of Rwanda. Within this centre, he serves as a supervisor of master students and is involved in community outreach activities such as seminars and workshops.
