Mr Rotimi obtained his MSc. and BSc. Degrees in Economics from the University of Ibadan and Bayero University in 2001 and 2005 respectively. He is presently rounding up his PhD programme in Economics at Kwazulu Natal University, South Africa. He is quantitatively biased and well-grounded in economic theory.
Rotimi has over fifteen years postgraduate experience across various work spheres (teaching and research), with a strong familiarity with the use of computer applications in teaching and analysis of Economics, Mathematics and other related subjects. In addition to courses like Mathematics for Economists, Statistics, Statistics for Economists, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics, which he has taught over the years. Mr Rotimi also taught Entrepreneurship at Landmark University Omu-Aran and is presently teaching the same course at Federal University Lokoja. Furthermore, Rotimi has over twenty publications to his credit. The publications are found in both local and international outlets under the form of journal articles and chapter contributions to textbooks.
Beside academy, Mr Rotimi is a seasoned banker who worked with the United Bank of Africa (UBA) Plc in Nigeria. At the bank, he worked as a Relationship Manager (RM), Profit Centre Manager (PCM) and ultimately Acting Business Manager (BM). He also worked with the Financial Derivative Company (FDC), Lagos as an analyst.
Presently, Rotimi is a lecturer in the Department of Economics, Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria.
