Bio/Description

Belmondo Tanankem Voufo holds a MSc. Degree in Development Economics from the University of Antwerp (Belgium), and a Statistician Economist Engineer diploma from the Sub regional Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics of Yaoundé (Cameroon). He is currently employed as Expert in charge of business climate and private sector development at the Competitiveness Committee of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development of Cameroon.  

For seven years, he has worked as a Research Officer in the Department of Analysis and Economic Policies of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development of Cameroon, where he has participated in the realization of studies for policy and decision making. His main tasks include investment climate assessment and private sector development. He has also been a member of the teams in charge of drafting quarterly economic reports, economic outlooks and Cameroon’s Economic Development Reports.  

His core competencies include survey design and coordination of data collection operations, expertise in statistical analysis, economic research and analysis, and impact evaluation.  Indeed, he has participated in several data collection operations, at the Ministry of Economy (Business Climate Surveys) and has been a consultant for the Economic Commission for Africa and for the World Bank, where he participated in study and questionnaire design, sampling, field supervision, data analysis, and report drafting. In addition, he has actively participated in three project evaluations, where he has been involved in evaluation design, data collection and analysis, as well as report drafting.
